In response to God’s burden, we initiated Ahava Retreat to provide a rejuvenating experience for missionaries, cross-cultural workers, and pastors serving in challenging terrains and locations worldwide.

Our maiden edition in 2023 brought together over 30 missionaries from Nigeria and neighboring African countries at the luxurious Ilaji Resort in Ibadan, Nigeria. We covered all expenses, including transportation, 4-star accommodation, meals, souvenirs, and take-home support.

The impact was profound, with many missionaries still experiencing the effects of rejuvenation, spiritual and physical nourishment, and empowerment. Seasoned missionaries shared inspiring words of grace and comfort, further enriching the experience.

Ahava Retreat 2025 promises to be an even more transformative experience. We invite you to join us as we provide a sanctuary for missionaries to recharge, refocus, and persist in spreading the Gospel of Christ.

Why are we calling missionaries to a time of rest and retreat?

Burnout and mental health issues are real: 80% of missionaries experience burnout, and 46% face psychological challenges, with 87% diagnosed with depression.

Missionaries leave their calling for preventable reasons: 6.5% leave the field annually, resulting in 1/3 leaving within their first decade due to preventable reasons.

The Church struggles to partner correctly: For every $100,000 earned by Christians, only $107 supports world missions, with merely 1% reaching unreached people groups.

Together, we can make a difference: Evangelical Christians earn $5.98 trillion annually. With an extra $6.63 per $10,000 earned, we can cover mission costs.
